3D Printing

I built a 3D printer with a 3D printer

I talk about 3d printing there as well

My Journey (so far...)

The first 3D printer I got was the X-plus from Qiditech in 2021

For a while, 3D printing stayed as a niche hobby. Until early 2023, where it evolved into a rapid prototyping technology that contested standard manufacturing procedures. Atleast that's what it felt like. 3D printers were no longer boxes that could produce little plastic toys, but rather something I could use and incorporate into my workflow. It became a way where if I needed a part or visualize something in physical space, I could make it - without 2 day shipping.

A project I did in my Math class - the title and Levi's Logos are 3D printed

To further my experience with 3D printers, I took a leap and decided to build a Voron V0.1. I started the project in mid February of 2023, with a little perserverance and a lot of troubleshooting, the pile of metal rails, wires and 3d printed parts became (somehow) a 3d printer.

It doesn't end there -

I also bought a JGMaker Artist-D. This is an IDEX system (Independent Dual Extruders). So two colors or two materials in the same print

Multi-color is a bit... tricky

But it's getting there
